Salary: £19,179 per annum (pro rata)

The Society of St James (SSJ) delivers high impact, person-centred, accommodation services to people experiencing homelessness, substance misuse and mental health problems. The people we support are at the heart of everything we do, our main aim and priority is to find people with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.

Vacancy Details

The Society wishes to recruit a weekend Project Worker to work in our homelessness hostel in Southampton. Here we offer a wide range of support to people with histories of homelessness, substance and alcohol difficulties, mental health and other complex needs.

You will ensure that the hostel is managed safely throughout your shifts, undertake specified health and safety duties and respond to emergencies and deal with the needs of clients during the weekend shift.

You will need to have some experience and knowledge of the needs of vulnerable people with histories of homelessness, severe alcohol/substance dependency and mental health problems.

You will need to be prepared to be flexible over the hours worked to meet the needs of the Service.
