Promoted Job: Team Leader at Jamies Computers

Jamie’s Computer is a Social Enterprise of The Society of St James.  We have a vacancy for a Team Leader.

The Role

The primary role is to support the Business Manager in ensuring the long term viability of Jamie’s as a profitable social enterprise, particularly in maximising all income opportunities, maintaining control of volunteer and unpaid workforce, in a manner that positively affects financial viability.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have proven knowledge of the second hand IT refurbishing, resale and recycling industry and proven ability of handling retail and trade sales, both face to face and through web sales.

Jamie’s is a busy environment combining many activities, so the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of IT equipment, and the flexibility to address the environmental compliance management requirements of the position. Self-motivation, cash handling, till procedures, cash reconciliation skills and a willingness to adapt to change are all “must have” attributes.

Our customers/clients can be from challenging backgrounds that can include homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse, as well as offenders and long-term unemployed.  For this reason the successful applicant should ideally have an understanding of the practical problems surrounding these issues.
