Portsmouth Homelessness Accommodation Service
Our homelessness service in Portsmouth provides a temporary home to 18 people who have become homeless for one reason or another and are seeking support to get back on their feet and move on with their lives in a positive way.
We work with each person to help them create a move-on plan that they are comfortable with and believe they can achieve. The plan will focus on what their aspirations are for their future and what steps they need to take for themselves. We believe that people are the expert in their own lives – our role is to listen and offer constructive advice and help to them so that they can make informed decisions that help them realise their ambitions.
We offer a wide range of activities and workshops, many of which are run by the people living in the service. Creative activities, cooking workshops and educational sessions aimed at improving people’s reading and writing skills are very popular!
