The orchestra will be playing music by Schubert (Symphony no.4), Dvorak (2 Slavonic dances & waltz), Faure (Pavane), Mendelssohn (Fingal’s Cave) and Delibes (Le Roi s’amuse).

Andrew Row, Concert Manager for the Solent Concert Orchestra, said: “Solent Concert Orchestra, based in Bramshaw in the New Forest, is a not for profit organisation currently applying for charitable status. We are a group of enthusiastic amateur musicians who love playing and performing a wide range of music to audiences in Hampshire and put on 3 or 4 concerts of mostly popular classical music each year.

One of our aims is to support local charities, and for our Spring Concert we have chosen to help the Society of St James in their invaluable work tackling the problems of homelessness in Hampshire.
