🎄 Behind every statistic is a person: help us end homelessness locally this christmas

As we prepare for the festive season, a time of warmth, family, and giving, it’s important to remember that for many, Christmas is anything but comfortable.

❄️ Last christmas, more than 200 people slept rough across Hampshire.

And that’s just the beginning.

Between October and December 2024, 883 people were assessed as homeless.
Between January and March 2025, an additional 932 people were assessed as homeless.

These aren’t just numbers.
They’re someone’s neighbour. Someone’s colleague. Someone’s friend.

At the Society of St James, we know that behind every statistic is a real person, who has been pushed into homelessness by a system that often fails them.

🏠 Opening doors to safety and support

This Christmas, we’re calling on our community to come together, to help us open more doors to:

  • Safe housing
  • Education and employment opportunities
  • Long-term pathways out of homelessness
