RESET

Helping young adults build a healthier, positive and crime-free future

The Society of St James' RESET Service provides trauma-informed, strength-based support for young adults aged 18–25 who may be at risk of becoming involved in criminal behaviour or re-offending.

We work closely with the Police and the Violent Crime Taskforce (VCT) to identify individuals who may benefit from additional support and help them access the right services.

How RESET Can Help

Our aim is to help young adults build positive protective factors, reduce risks and develop the skills needed to move forward.

Through RESET, we aim to:

  • Increase positive protective factors and support networks
  • Reduce the risk of negative influences
  • Help young adults positively thrive
  • Promote a healthy, happy and crime-free lifestyle
  • Develop positive skills and opportunities
  • Reduce re-offending

Is RESET Right for You?

You may be able to access support if you are:

1) 18 - 25 years old

2) Recently had contact with the police

3) Concerned that you may be getting drawn into criminal behaviour

You don't have to deal with these challenges alone. Our friendly team can work with you to understand your situation and identify the support that could help you move forward.

We Can Support You With

Our support is tailored to your individual circumstances and may include help with:

  • Accommodation
  • Education, training and employment
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Finance, benefits and debt
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Children and family
  • Attitude, thinking and behaviour

How Does It Work?

If you are arrested, you may be made aware of the RESET service.

If you are interested in receiving support, you can arrange a voluntary meeting with a member of our friendly team to discuss your situation and explore how RESET could help.

You can:

  • Ask the police to refer you to RESET, or
  • Contact our team directly to find out more.
