Christmas Appeal update
“The generosity of our supporters knows no bounds”
It is with great pleasure that we can today announce that we have reached the target of £5,000, which will go towards providing a hot meal for people at risk of homelessness this Christmas.
For the past month, we have been working hard to raise money so our service users can enjoy a hot meal, at a time when they can feel very alone. Our supporters, who range from towns across the south, did not let us down – and they have come together to make sure our service users can have a Christmas to remember.
CEO of The Society of St James, Trevor Pickup, said: “we are delighted that we have reached our target for the Christmas Meal campaign.
“The generosity of our supporters knows no bounds, and it is no surprise to see people coming together to make sure our service users can enjoy a hot meal or a present this Christmas.
“Once again, thank you from all of us at SSJ, and from our service users, who will now receive a much needed boost to their morale this Christmas.”
Campaigning for the Future
The campaign is still open, for those of you who wish to support us, and any further donations will be used towards our on-going mission to buy more housing across Hampshire, in order to get people off the streets and into suitable move-on accommodation. We appreciate all that you do to help us achieve our goals.
