Irwin Mitchell Charites Foundation supports SSJ

We would like to thank the Irwin Mitchell Charites Foundation for supporting SSJ this Christmas.

Michelle Jeffery, Business Development Manager at the Society of St. James, said: “Christmas is not a time of joy for all, as our recent campaign demonstrates.

“For many of the people we work with, Christmas means “lonely”, “hate”, “sadness”, “stressful” and “bah-humbug.” We want to make it mean something different by ensuring people receive some Christmas joy, with a Christmas meal or with a gift.  Additional donations go towards supporting people to move forward with their lives by providing things such as ID, a travel card or perhaps a suit for an interview.”

Guy Darlaston, the regional managing partner of Irwin Mitchell’s Southampton office, said: “This is the second year we have supported the Society of St. James, in recognition of the incredible work they do in supporting the most vulnerable in our local communities.

“While this Christmas may be a very different one for many of us, this is a time to spare a thought for those who find this the most difficult time of the year, made harder by the coronavirus crisis and its impact. It’s good to hear our donation will be put to good use and helps these two great causes continue their work into the New Year and beyond.”
