Re-Set (Get Learning!)

In 2023 we will be launching the new Re-set project. Re-set is a new learning pathway for service users. We are able to do this thanks to funding from an anonymous philanthropist and a public health grant. Re-set will provide a learning pathway for individuals that we support who have a history of homelessness and other complex needs.

Many of our residents had poor experiences at school and have limited qualifications. Some do not believe that they could gain qualifications, in spite of being reasonably intelligent. We also know that expecting an adult to attend a college full of 16- & 17-year olds is not going to work.

We will be developing a pathway for learners beginning with specific courses which can be completed in a matter of days, such as basic literacy, numeracy, health and safety and food hygiene. The aim is to get people into the habit of learning and to prove it is possible. This will then lead onto other learning, with longer and more advanced courses.

To continue delivering Re-set we will need to raise around £85,000 per year. Please support this initiative by visiting our Just Giving page and donating what you can.
